Safety Service

The focus of the Safety Service Director is as the cities liaison between the Administration, City Council and city operations, chief advisor to the Mayor, chief administrative officer for the city’s service departments (Water Department, Wastewater Department, Street Department, Public Facilities, Refuse & Recycling Department, and City Facilities) and the city’s two safety departments (Fire Department and Police Department).

The duties of the office include oversight of the city’s annual budget, human resources, negotiation and procession of all city contracts, approval of all expenditures, and union relations with the cities 4 unions.
