Due to the coronavirus the City building is CLOSED to the public, therefore, the Income Tax Office is also CLOSED to the public. However, we are still here working and will be glad to assist you by phone, 330-385-5437, or email.
Deadline for filing your 2019 City income tax returns has been extended until July 15th.
1040’s with supporting schedules and W2’s can be: mailed to us, faxed to (330)386-7865 or emailed to [email protected]
Payments can be mailed in with check or money order or with credit/debit card by phone (1-800-272-9829, jurisdiction code: 8458) or online at
If you received a letter for past due balances or for unfiled income tax returns, you still need to contact this office to make arrangements ASAP.

The City Income Tax Office is responsible for the collection of city taxes including:
Income tax (1.5%)
Hotel/Motel tax (3%)
Bed tax (3%)

It is MANDATORY for ALL residents, resident businesses, non-residents working in the city and non-resident businesses doing any business in the city, to file annual income tax returns regardless of income/loss.                                                         Mandatory filing was enacted in 1989.  Rates, 1.5%, are based on: gross income from wages, net-profit from business and net profit from rental income.                                                                                                                                                                                                   Retired persons, 65 and older, with NO TAXABLE income are NOT required to file.
